“Eating comfortably”: what is that feeling?

In a comment from a participant of Mindful Eating today, I came across a very accurate description of “eating comfortably”.
She was actually defining what it means to eat “comfortably” by comparing it to eating a full stomach.
She said that if you don't feel like you need to get up and walk after you've eaten, and you don't feel sleepy, then you've eaten comfortably.
My experience is almost identical to what she said.
If we eat too quickly at mealtimes, our bodies don't have enough time to feel the fluctuations in blood sugar, and the mental strain can all delay the feeling of fullness. The consequence is that we are prone to overeating.
Prostration brings about excessive gastrointestinal labor and is therefore sleepy. The feeling of stomach stagnation can also be frustrating. As a consequence, we feel guilty that we must get up and move.
I call this phenomenon the “cliff slide”. Because of one negative effect. An iterative negative effect. Inadvertently lengthening the entire meal and the negative psychological effect.
